Coach Toon will be an assistant teacher in the 3’s here at EDS. This is her first year with us. Coach T is originally from the Central Valley of California in the city of Manteca. She attended East Union High School. She played softball in High School and was part of the Army JROTC. She plays ice hockey and recreationally is an archer. She was introduced to Volleyball through her Mother-in-law (a former collegiate player and volleyball coach). She has been in love with the sport ever since. She learned everything she could from her Mother-in-law and sisters-in-law, who also were volleyball players/coaches. Shelby began coaching volleyball as a volunteer for Columbia County Parks and Recs, where she has been coaching for the last 3 years. Coach is working towards her licensure in Elementary Education from Western Governor’s University. She is excited to be able to be a part of EDS Athletics and Panther Nation!

Biography:
Coach Jackson - Coaching Archery since 2023-24 school year.
A native of McDuffie County and graduate of Thomson High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Augusta University and a Master’s in Elementary Education from NOVA Southeastern University.
Coach Jackson holds endorsements in ESOL and gifted education, along with certifications in Curriculum Design, Forest School, and Wilderness First Aid. A former high school track athlete, she became involved in archery through supporting her own children’s teams and has since developed a passion for coaching middle school students. She brings enthusiasm and encouragement to every practice, helping each archer sharpen their focus, improve their form, and grow in confidence on the range.
