What an electrifying championship game it was for the EDS Panthers Baseball team! Picture this: the sun shining bright, the crowd roaring with school spirit, and our Panthers stepping onto the diamond with confidence and determination.Facing off against our formidable opponents, the Saints of St. Mary's Catholic School, we knew it would take nothing short of a heroic effort to secure victory. As the reigning champs, the pressure was on, especially with the Saints holding the number #1 seed. But hey, pressure is just another word for opportunity, right?Led by the masterful pitching of Wynn Prosser, who seemed to channel the spirit of the majors, and fueled by a relentless offense, our Panthers charged ahead, seizing an impressive 8-0 lead early in the game. The Saints fought back valiantly, narrowing the gap to 8-3 by the third inning, but our Panthers weren't about to let their momentum slip away.In a display of sheer dominance, we rallied for four more runs in the fourth inning, follo

Bowling balls felt the impact of Panther claws as we participated in the AAMSL Bowling season.  At the mid-season point, we participated in the Border Bash, representing Augusta taking on vs the school in Aiken. More importantly, the Jungle came alive at the end of the season championship, and we were triumphant in winning the championship. EDS claimed its third bowling title in six years, with Hardy D. placing 2nd overall and Lily Grace Y in 6th place. It was a striking success!

Our Panthers proved they could handle a paddle, too, as the Pickleball team had a positively fantastic season. Ranked 2nd going into the championship tournament, they played in the Main Draw and Round Robin tournaments, ultimately securing 2nd place overall as a school. Wells and Lee brought home bronze while Brooks J and Tucker B shined competing in the consolation draw final.

Congratulations to the EDS Baseball team.  This group of coaches and young men won our 1st ever AAMSL baseball title.  The Panthers defeated the Stallions from Horse Creek Academy 4-2.  This was back-to-back appearances in the championship.   The Panthers baseball team, led under new head coaches David Rivers and Dave Dunaway, had a plan to get back to the title game, including heads-up playing from 8th graders Sam D., Connor S., Parker H., Andrew B., and Charles H. The Panthers displayed the grit and determination needed to bring another title to Panther Nation in a season where they went toe-to-toe with tough competitors. Entering the tournament, the Panthers were the top seed, but in the semifinals, we had to face a team that already beat us twice this season – the Augusta Christian Lions. This cat fight was all Panthers as we devoured the Lions. We faced a battle-tested team in the championship versus the Stallions from Horse Creek Academy. With a

The EDS Panthers baseball team finished the season strong.  The team made it to the league tournament as the three seed and had to play St. Mary's of Augusta in which our Panthers pulled the upset over the Saints.  In an exciting game, we won 5-3 after trailing 3-1.  In an even more exciting game the Panthers lost to the one seed - Augusta Christian Lions in extra innings 8-7.  While we didn't get the championship it was an exciting and memorable finish to a great year for EDS athletics and Panther Nation
