Panthers Volleyball Finishes Strong in AAMSL Championship
This week, the EDS Panthers volleyball team competed in the Augusta-Aiken Middle School League end-of-season tournament to crown the league champion.On Monday, the Panthers entered as the No. 3 seed and faced off against the No. 2 seed, the Saints of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School. In a thrilling three-set battle, EDS came out on top, defeating their Hill rivals to advance to the championship match.Tuesday night brought another intense showdown as the Panthers took on the Cavaliers of Augusta Prep. The championship was an epic five-set duel, with every game decided by just two or three points. In the end, the Cavaliers edged out the Panthers 16–14 in the deciding set.We couldn’t be prouder of this team’s heart, grit, and determination throughout the season. Congratulations to our players, coaches, and fans for an incredible year of Panther volleyball!

EDS Tennis Wrap-Up: Strong Finish at AAMSL Championships
On Wednesday, October 15, the EDS girls’ and boys’ tennis teams competed in the Augusta-Aiken Middle School League’s season-ending singles and doubles tournaments.The girls’ team capped off another outstanding season, finishing 2nd overall for the second straight year. In doubles, both EDS pairs advanced to the semifinals and faced each other in a spirited matchup. The team of Charlotte O. and Eliza M. advanced to the finals and earned the silver medal, while teammates Emerson Rae D. and Clara N. finished just behind them after a great run. In singles play, all three EDS players reached the quarterfinals. Sophie S. and Milly M. both advanced to the quarters, where Milly faced teammate Emma P.—who went on to play in the finals and also brought home a silver medal.On the boys’ side, Bobby B. and Dylan S. advanced to the quarterfinals in doubles, while Nash H. made a strong showing in singles, reaching the quarterfinal round as well. The Panthers slayed the competition and left only scraps for the vultures! 🐾EDS Golf entered the Jungle at the Augusta-Aiken Middle School League Championship, hosted at Woodside Country Club’s Jones Course, ready for the hunt. With nine schools in the field, the Panthers stayed locked in and fearless.Led by 7th graders Bridges and Bates, 6th grader Ridley, and 5th graders Jack and Hudson, the team—coached by Coach Weiss, Coach Fortune, and Coach Murphy—showed incredible poise and preparation.After the front nine, EDS held a 4-stroke lead over St. Mary’s with a score of 155, highlighted by Jack’s 9-hole tournament low of 34! EDS Girls Soccer Team is once again AAMSL CHAMPIONS!In a showdown for the ages, our Panthers faced off against the mighty Saints from St. Mary’s on the Hill — the same team we tied with earlier this season. But this time, there was no doubt who ruled the field!M. Lokey lit up the scoreboard early with the only goal of the match, and goalie T. Cooks was unstoppable, sealing the goal shut and keeping the Saints off the board!Hats off to our amazing coaching staff, our fierce student-athletes, and the unstoppable Panther fans who brought the energy all season long.Panther Pride is alive and kicking!

EDS Panthers just made history, roaring through an undefeated season and dominating the playoffs as the #1 seed! 💙🤍First up in the semifinals? A catfight showdown against the Westminster Wildcats. The Panthers pounced early, controlled the game, and clawed their way to a decisive victory! 💪🐾Then came the championship battle against Tall Pine Academy’s Timberwolves—the only team to give our squad a real challenge all season. The Wolves had a game plan to slow down our high-flying, fast-paced attack, but great coaching, elite athleticism, and unwavering trust turned the tide. In true Panther spirit, our team fought tooth and claw to keep the game close during a hard-fought first half.Though the second half brought its challenges, our Panthers never backed down, playing with heart and grit until the final whistle. Panthers Strike Again! EDS Golf Team Claims 23rd AAMSL Title in Dominant Fashion
The EDS Panthers golf team roared to victory at Woodside Country Club, earning their 23rd AAMSL team championship in commanding style. The Panthers secured back-to-back titles by outpacing second-place Our Lady of Peace by an impressive 19 strokes, showcasing the depth and talent of the pride.Leading the charge for the Panthers was McKnight, who delivered a stunning performance with a tournament-best 18-hole score of 69. His stellar play set the tone for the team’s success. What an electrifying championship game it was for the EDS Panthers Baseball team! Picture this: the sun shining bright, the crowd roaring with school spirit, and our Panthers stepping onto the diamond with confidence and determination.Facing off against our formidable opponents, the Saints of St. Mary's Catholic School, we knew it would take nothing short of a heroic effort to secure victory. As the reigning champs, the pressure was on, especially with the Saints holding the number #1 seed. Bowling Strikes Championship - 3rd in 6 years
Bowling balls felt the impact of Panther claws as we participated in the AAMSL Bowling season. At the mid-season point, we participated in the Border Bash, representing Augusta taking on vs the school in Aiken. More importantly, the Jungle came alive at the end of the season championship, and we were triumphant in winning the championship. EDS claimed its third bowling title in six years, with Hardy D. placing 2nd overall and Lily Grace Y in 6th place. It was a striking success!

Pickleball Dinks to 2nd Place
Our Panthers proved they could handle a paddle, too, as the Pickleball team had a positively fantastic season. Ranked 2nd going into the championship tournament, they played in the Main Draw and Round Robin tournaments, ultimately securing 2nd place overall as a school. Wells and Lee brought home bronze while Brooks J and Tucker B shined competing in the consolation draw final.
