Biography:
Coach Sara Yawn has been part of the EDS coaching staff since 2021, leading both the fall and winter cheer squads with energy and enthusiasm. A proud Augusta native, Sara has enjoyed being a full-time mom to Lily Grace (EDS Class of ’25 and current 9th grader at Richmond Academy) and Thomas, a 7th grader at EDS.
Her own cheerleading journey began at Riverside Middle School and continued at Lakeside High School, where she developed a lifelong love for the sport. Coach Yawn is passionate about mentoring young athletes and takes great pride in building school spirit, teamwork, and confidence among the EDS cheerleaders. She is excited to continue growing the program and celebrating all things Panther Nation!

Biography:
Coach Taylor was born and raised in Augusta, Ga, and was a cheerleader at Augusta Christian School for all JV and Varsity years. She was selected as an NCA All-American Cheerleader 3 times and was runner-up for NCA Top All-American Cheerleader her junior year at ACS. She also played basketball, and tennis, and ran track throughout her junior high and high school years.
Coach Taylor and her daughter Genevieve Kommanivanh moved back to Augusta from Chicago in 2014 and Genevieve has attended EDS since the early 3’s. Genevieve is now in 8th grade and is thrilled to have Mom as her coach.
Coach Taylor loves EDS and is proud to be a part of the team of coaches while always keeping the Panther Spirit!
