Biography:
Kirby is originally from Lizella, Georgia and attended First Presbyterian Day School. Kirby is a 2001 graduate of the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business. Growing up he played all sports but by 8th grade focused solely on tennis. While attending Valdosta State University his Freshman year of college, Kirby walked on the men's tennis team.
Kirby has helped coach YMCA flag football, YMCA basketball, and Augusta Richmond County youth little league. Kirby has a daughter, Lily Grace in 7th grade, and a son, Thomas in 5th grade. Kirby is married to Sara Yawn, and they also have a dog named Coco.
Biography:
Coach Melbourne has been coaching at EDS since 2018. She was raised in Augusta and attended EDS through 5th grade before moving to San Diego, California. Kirby played competitive tennis throughout high school and went on to play Division II college tennis for Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. After graduating, she was the assistant tennis coach at Franklin Pierce University and taught elementary school in Keene, NH. Most recently, she spent the last year in Florida, where she worked as a tennis pro for a group offering clinics and lessons for all ages on public tennis courts in the area.
