On Wednesday, October 15, the EDS girls’ and boys’ tennis teams competed in the Augusta-Aiken Middle School League’s season-ending singles and doubles tournaments.

The girls’ team capped off another outstanding season, finishing 2nd overall for the second straight year. In doubles, both EDS pairs advanced to the semifinals and faced each other in a spirited matchup. The team of Charlotte O. and Eliza M. advanced to the finals and earned the silver medal, while teammates Emerson Rae D. and Clara N. finished just behind them after a great run. In singles play, all three EDS players reached the quarterfinals. Sophie S. and Milly M. both advanced to the quarters, where Milly faced teammate Emma P.—who went on to play in the finals and also brought home a silver medal.

On the boys’ side, Bobby B. and Dylan S. advanced to the quarterfinals in doubles, while Nash H. made a strong showing in singles, reaching the quarterfinal round as well. Thomas Y. picked up a first-round victory before falling in the second round.

It was a fantastic day for Panther Tennis—filled with great competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all our players on an incredible season!
